Websitebrokers Limited was established in 1998. These were early days as far as the World Wide Web was concerned in the United Kingdom.
At that time we purchased a domain portfolio which included geographical website names: towns, cities and even countries. We also purchased generic website names, sports related, hotel, travel and many, many more. In the main we purchased the .co.uk and the .com wherever available.
The acquisition of this portfolio meant very clearly that the company had a major share in the World Wide Web’s Advertising Arm!
Our core business is driving traffic to related websites by what is known as ‘type in traffic’ or 'direct traffic'. For example if customers take a chance (which a huge percentage do) and type in the address bar the website address they are looking for i.e. www.racemeetings.co.uk or www.findahotel.co.uk they will arrive at either one of our fantastic websites or certainly a website which will show relevant sites they will be interested in.
From inception our goal was and still is to publish sites to be proud of! Give the customer what they are looking for, the information and the facility to navigate easily and leave the site having acquired the knowledge required, purchased the item or booked the hotel, car, holiday etc!
Clearly to offer all of the above on a portfolio of some 3000 website names takes time and of course money, but we do have a plan and the plan is very firmly in place!
